U Saw Tin Lay third son of U Mhan San Ba and Daw James Lay was born on 22nd January of 1966 in No. (4) District, Katta road, Zee Thaw Hpa An. He finished his high school at No. 2 state high school of Hpa An in 1982. He pursued (MTC) from 1985-1990 in Myaung Mya Adventist Academy, MUAS today. On 1st of May 1990 He started his work as missionary by working as a teacher/church pastor in Mya Te village, Pout Taw Township which was a new place where the Myo also known as Kamhe people live. In 1994 he married Daw Ei Ei. In 1995 he worked as a church pastor in Taung Mingalar village in Rakhine state. In 1996, he worked as a church pastor in Maw Bi mission. He worked as the boys’ hostel dean of MUAS in 1997. In 1999, He got his Bachelor’s degree majoring in Religion. From 2008-2010, he studied for his master’s degree of Religious Education in the Adventist University of the Philippines. He worked as VP (PrR/HR) in MUAS from 2016 to April of 2021. From May 2021 to today he is working as a Chaplin in SEAS. He also worked as a farm manager aside from the boys’ hostel dean for two years. He worked as a a PR (Public Relationship) of ADRA Myanmar for 5 years.
From 1990 to 2021, he has been in working in the mission for 32 years.
He has four daughters:
