Early Life
He was born on March 19, 1974, in Wuyan village, Waingmaw Township, Kachin State. His parents are U Chang Zone and Daw Jo Wah Na, and have one sister, Zone Nan, and one brother, Zone Kyang. Both of his parents were passed away in last two years ago.
Education and Marriage
He studied his primary education in No. (3), Government Basic Primary School, Wuyan from KG to Grade 4. Then he continue his studied Middle school from Grade five to Grade 9 at No. (1), Basic Education High School in Waingmaw. He studied his Grade 10 (at that time, it is called Standard 10 or Matriculation) in No. (1), Basic Education High School in Myintkyina. He passed the Government Matriculation Examination on March 1993, with two Distinctions, (Chemistry, and Physics). After he passed the Government Matriculation Examination, an Adventist school asking him to teach Mathematics subjects. It was his introduction to Adventist faith in his life. He met an Adventist teacher, Rachel Soe (now his wife), she helps him to study the scripture, and he come to know more about the Bible truth. They have a daughter, Christine Ying Myaw, a college graduated student from Government Technology University, and a son, Ying Bawm, a college student from Government Technology University.
When he continue his Higher Education at Myintkyina University with Mathematic Major, he faced the Sabbath Problem; so he stopped study in Government education and switch to Adventist Education on June 1998. He learned Business Administration and Education, and he got his first degree in 2002. Then, he continued his Master’s Degree through the DLC Program of AIIAS and earned his second degree of Master of Art in Teaching in 2011. Now he continue learning EdS education administration through the Cohort Program of AIIAS.
Career/Ministry
Before joining Myanmar Union Adventist Seminary, he worked as a Mathematics teacher (1993 to 1998) for five years in his home town; that service year did not include in his Service Record. In 2002 as soon as he graduate from MUAS, he worked as a Mathematics and science teacher at AYAS, Ayeyarwady Mission Adventist Seminary for two years. In 2004, he was transferred to his home town Wuyan village and worked as a Registrar and teacher until 2005. In December 2005, he was elected as the Principal of Wuyan Adventist Seminary. At the same time he served the Lord as Church Pastor of Wuyan Seventh-day Adventist Church until December 2017. From January 2018, he serve the Lord as Education Director and Youth Director in Upper Myanmar Adventist Mission.
Legacy
He took many hours to read EG White Writing regarding the church, and Christian life when he was a Myanmar Union Adventist Seminary student. When he was a school principal, he change his life as a vegetarian on July 15, 2017, after having a dinner party with AIIAS administration. At that dinner party, he had sat together with Dr. Stephen Guptill, the President of AIIAS. After the conversation with Dr. Guptill regarding his Adventist lifestyle and the Bible and Spirit of prophecy, encouraging him to be a vegetarian . Then, he always encourage his family, colleagues, his friend, students to try to be a vegetarian.
