Nant Saung Wai Wai

(AUTOBIOGRAPHY)

(1968 – Present 15th October 2021)

                Nant Saung Wai Wai  is an instructor and staff of various organizations of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Myanmar.

Early Life

Nant Saung Wai Wai, born on 17th May 1968, in Pyingadodaung Village, Myaungmya Township, Ayeyarwaddy Division, the youngest daughter of U Mya Aye Shwe and Daw Kay Thi Oo belonging to the West Pwo Karen tribe. Both the parents were Adventist school teacher at Pyingadodaung Village, Myaungmya Township, Ayeyarwaddy Division. Her mother died on 26th February 2020 at the age of 85. Her father lives with her eldest sister’s family.

Education and Marriage

                Nant Saung Wai Wai began schooling at the Basic Education High School No. 4 in Myaungmya and completed high school in 1984. She graduated from Pathein University in 1991with B.Sc Zoology. She married to Maung Maung Myo Chan on 4th January 2000 in MUAS Chapel and the couple continued ministry in MUAS. She had a son S Pyi Sone Chan in 2005.

Ministry

                Nant Saung Wai Wai served as an instructor in Myanmar Union Adventist Seminary – MUAS from 1st October 1991 till  2008. On 1st January  2009, YAD has appointed her as teacher in Yangon Adventist Seminary till 31st December 2015. On 1st January 2016, she was assigned as department director Children, Family, Women, Shepherdess International and Health in Yangon Mission of Seventh-day Adventists.

Legacy

                Nant Saung Wai Wai initiated and conducted children evangelistic meeting and children leadership level 1-4 for children ministries were held in various districts of Yangon including Rakhine State.  She also supported women evangelistic meeting and women leadership level 1-4 for women ministries were held in various districts of Yangon including Rakhine State. The parenting seminar, family enrichment seminar and family spiritual retreats for family ministries are organized in various districts of Yangon including Rakhine State. The shepherdess international leadership education cycle 1-3 for shepherdess international ministries were also held in various districts of Yangon including Rakhine State. As taking care of Health Ministries Department, health screening and education, mental health training and healthy food cooking training for health ministries were held in various districts of Yangon including Rakhine State. During the five years she served, she harvested many souls.
