Early Life
Min Lwin was born in Bogalay Township, Ayeyarwaddy Region, Myanmar in March 13, 1958. His parents were U Saw Pyinn and Daw Po Roe. The family has four siblings. In 1963, he attended KG in Village’s Church school. In 1966, Nay Win’s Government announced all Church’s school buildings as Government’s properties. Therefore, he attended Grade 3 and 4 in government primary school. There was no Basic Education Middle School near by his village, he gave up on studying. Like other children in the village, he went for fishing, hunting and collect wood for living. By the grace of God, Pastor U Johnny’s wife Daw Aye Myaing who serve in Pyapon District asked him to continue study in Pyapon. He was afraid to study in Pyapon since he does not able to speak Burmese Language. He has not been worn a slipper in his life. Therefore, Daw Aye Myaing bought him a pair of slippers in Bogalay . Unfortunately, He lost one side of slipper on his way while riding rackshaw. Since he could not speak Burmese Language, he attended Grade 5 in No 3 State High School, Pyapon also known as Karen School in 1969. He was baptized in Auk Seikkwin Church in 1970 by Pastor Johnny Bane. Even though he could not speak Burmese language, he passed Grade 10 in a year. After he passed Grade 10 in 1974, He gave up college education due to family’s financial problem. Then he went back to his village and work in the farm where his family belong to. Church pastors from Pastor E Dwe Tha convinced him constantly to study in Bible school but he refused as he is not willing to serve as God’s servant. How many times he refuses, he could not win over God’s plans.
Unfortunately, he suffered from Malaria. Because of Malaria he could not do any hard work. Pastor U Ah Gray took advantage of his suffering and sent him to Kone Myint Thar Bible School in Taunggu (Now as known as CMAS). From that moment his journey of God’s servant began.
Education and Marriage
Min Lwin attended High School in No 3, BEHS Pyapon, after finishing High School education, He pursue MTC at Union Bible Seminary, Myaungmya in 1985. He graduated Bachelor of Theology at MUAS in 1999. Min Lwin was Married to Daw Khin Khin Htwe at Pathein in 1989. Four children were born to their family; Lyan Min Htet in 1991, Lwin Myo Htwe in 1995, Nandar Lwin in 1997, Pyi Soe Min in 2004 respectively.
Career/ Ministry
In 1986, Min Lwin served as Church Pastor at Aung Gone Church.
In 1987, he served as Teacher at Myaungmya Junior Bible Seminary.
In 1988, he served as Accountant at Ayeyarwaddy Mission, Pathein until 1990.
In 1991, he served as Cashier/Account at Myanmar Union Mission until 1993.
In 1994, he served as Treasurer at Ayeyarwaddy Mission, Pathein Until 2001.
In 2002, he served as Secretary/Treasurer at Upper Myanmar Mission, Pyin Oo Lwin until 2003.
In 2004, he served as President at Upper Myanmar Mission, Pyin Oo Lwin Until 2010.
In 2011, he served as Executive Secretary at Myanmar Union Mission, Yangon until 2014.
In 2015, he served as Principal at Ayeyarwaddy Adventist Seminary, Myanugmya until date.
Missionary
In 1994, he leaded Treasurer department in Ayeyarwaddy Mission and he developed Mission operation smoothly. He built a lot of house churches in Ayeyarewaddy Mission to develop education. He also upgraded Manual accounting to Electronic accounting system in Ayeyarwaddy and Upper Myanmar Mission. In 2001, he was ordained to gospel ministry. He managed a lot of crusade in Upper Myanmar Mission. In Mandalay Region, Pyin Oo Lwin and Mandalay. In each crusade he was able to baptized at least hundred people. In Kachin State, Winemaw, Bahmaw and Myitkyina. In Magway Region, Gangaw. In Shan State, Mineshue, Lashio and Wansein. In Sagaing Region, Kalay, Tamu and Homalin. In Chin State, all the cities execept Palatwa.
During his serving in Upper Myanmar Mission, he was able to organize new churches. In 2003, he was able to organize the very first new church (Namabawda church) in Northern Shan State as well as in Larhu tribe. In 2006, new church in Gangaw, Magway Region. In the same year, new church known as Laimi church in Kalay, Sagaine Region.
