Early Life
Khin Maung Yin was born in Theilar village, at Myaung Mya township, Ayeyarwaddy Region on 3rd June, 1959. His parents were U Phyoe Sein and Daw Ohn Yin. His parents were non-Christian but
Converted to Seventh-day Adventist. There are four siblings in his family.
Education and Marriage
He completed his high school (DSLC) in March, 1979 in Myaung Mya and completed his post-Secondary, MTC in March, 1982 in Myaung Mya. He went to MUAS, Myaung Mya to pursue BA ( religion) degree and completed on 14th March, 1999. He was married to Mu Ka Paw shee from Karen State and 3 chidren were born to them: Saw Gary James in 1993, Saw Larry James in 1994 and Saw Zicco James in 1996.
Career/ Ministry
He was appointed as an evangelist in 1984 in AYM and he served there for 13 years until 1994.In 1995, he was appointed as a district leader in Kyone Pyaw and he worked there until 1997.
After that he went to MUAS, Myaung Mya for his BA degree in 1998. Right after finishing BA, He was appointed as a District Leader in Pyarpon in1999 and served there for a year. In 2000, he was appointed as a Departmental Director (Health) in AYM until 2007. In 2008 ,he was appointed as a President of AYM and served there until 2010. In 2011, he was appointed as a President of SEM, he moved to Mawlamyaing and served there until 2015. In 2016, he was appointed as an Executive Secretary of YAM and still presently working there now.
Contribution/Legacy
Pastor Khin Maung Yin served as a church pastor, district leader, departmental director, mission president in the Ayeyarwaddy mission and in the South East Mission, and executive secretary in the Yangon mission. He raised fund and donation for Theinlar church buildings in 1986, Nga Ba Chaung church building in 1989, and Shwe Ka Nyin Bin church building in 1997.
