A One Thein

Early Life

A One Thein was born on January 9, 1965 in Innyaekyun Village, Kyon Pyaw Township, Ayeyarwady Division. His parents are U Tun Thein and Daw Sein Shin. He is the eldest son in the family of one sister and two brothers. His parents were Seventh-day Adventist church members. He was baptized in Ayeyarwady Mission convention which was held at Shwekangyinbin church in Ayeyarwady Mission  on March, 1976.

Education, Marriage and Services in Mission

                A One Thein attended state primary school at PetpaeInn Village, Kyon Pyaw Township, Ayeyarwady Division from 1972-1977. Then he transferred school to continue his last year of state primary school at Taungpawsu Village, Myaung Mya Township from 1978 to 1979. After he finished his education for the state primary school, he then transferred to state middle school at Moe Gyo Pyit Village, Kyon Pyaw Township from standard five to standard seven. After he passed standard seven from state middle school, he transferred school in 1980 and continued his education at Junior Bible Seminary (JBS) in Myaung Mya. He studied there from standard eight to nine. Then he joined with Union bible Seminary to continued his education from standard ten to plus two from 1982 to 1985. After he passed plus two he continued his education for the two years Ministerial Training Course and he received the MTC certificate in 1987. Then he started to joined mission work as a farm and garden manager and contract worker from 1987 to 1988 at Union Bible Seminary (UBS).

                Then he transferred to Ayeyarwady Mission Adventist Seminary (AMAS) as a teacher and a regular worker from 1989 to 1993. He married to Sayama Daw Roanna Soe as they were working together as teachers in Ayeyarwady Mission Adventist Seminary. They married at Yonedaw Adventist Church in Kyaung Kone Township, Ayeyarwady Division on April 22, 1993. Then he was transferred to Kazingu Adventist church as an evangelist in Pantanaw township, Ayeyarwady Division in 1993. After serving there one year, he was selected to upgrade his education in Myanmar Union Adventist Seminary for Bachelor of Arts in Religion. He was graduated from Myanmar Union Adventist Seminary in March 26, 1995. After he graduated from MUAS he was transferred again to Ayeyarwady Adventist Seminary (AYAS)in 1995. He served there as a teacher and  a hostel dean for boys from 1995 to 1997. Then he was promoted to serve the Lord as a registrar of  AYAS from 1997 to 2007.  Then, he continued and upgraded his education from AIIAS as a DLC student in 1996 for Master of Arts in Education and he was graduated on 17th Day of October, 2004.

                He was elected as an executive secretary of Ayeyarwady Mission and started to serve the Lord as a mission executively secretary from January 1, 2008 to 2016. He became ordained minister on the Sabbath of December 3, 2010. After serving as executive secretary (9) years in Ayeyarwady Mission, he was elected to serve the Lord as a director of Union Youth Ministries Department in 2017 and started serving the Lord as Myanmar Union Youth Ministries Department from January 1, 2017 to 2021.

                His eldest daughter is Pansy One, the second daughter is Susie One, the younger daughter is Marilyn one and the youngest son is Maung Maung Pyitsone one @ Richard Johnson One. His family  stayed in Myanmar Unioin Headquarters, 68 U Wisara Road, Payargyi Ward, Dagon Township, Yangon.
